 Promises in Death, Vengence in Death and Big Jack August 7, 2010

I have combined all three books for this review because they are all written by J.D. Robb (AKA Nora Roberts). The entire "In Death" series, of which Big Jack is a spin-off, has been a favorite of mine since their inception. I've bought about ten of the series, so far, because I enjoy them over and over. This writer has a very special ability to combine murder mysteries (a particular favorite venue) with "HOT" and steamy sexy encounters, mostly between Roarke and Eve. I never tire of their banter or their teamwork.
All the characters have literally become my secret friends. No, I don't think that means I need therapy. They have simply become very real people when you follow the series and that's a tribute to Nora Roberts.
P.S. Please don't ever stop using Susan Ericksen as your reader. Her voices have come to BE the characters I recognize each time I start a new audiobook. I don't think anyone else could capture them the same way.

I really enjoyed it, it was a really good read, so good that I could not put it down. You have no idea who did it right until the end!

Have gotten weary of Eve, the main character. Too much sarcasm and lack of respect for her team as well as for Rourke. Have read all the books in this series; this will be my last.
